The photographs shown below were taken in Honolulu during the months of October, November and December. The temperature and weather in Honolulu was just perfect during these last quarter of the year. We always had bright sunny days, the temperature was just right, and there was always a cool and soothing winter breeze which you would feel blowing softly on your face. Although it was winter time, it would only be at night or early in the morning that you would find people putting on their sweaters or jackets.
During this last quarter of the year 2000 I was able to see more of the many beautiful beaches and other tourist spots around the island of Oahu. I even had a chance to join a group and went mountain climbing. Finally I was also able to ride a submarine and saw for myself what it was like more than 100 feet below the surface of the sea somewhere about 3 miles off Waikiki Beach.
This was also my very first Christmas here in Honolulu. I was one of the guests of Mr. & Mrs. Juny La Putt and spent the whole day of Christmas eve and Christmas day with their family and some of their friends. I have always enjoyed being home in Iligan City with my parents and two sisters during the Christmas season and I do miss them very much. It does get to be lonely being alone and to be thousands of miles away from home. I just am thankful that the La Putt family gave me a chance to join them and celebrate Christmas. My pictures with the Christmas tree and gifts in the background were taken at their home in Ewa Beach on Christmas eve.
