It was one Saturday in August when Kuya Juny invited my mother and I and Col. Raffy Romero and his two daughters for a whole day tour of different tourist sites around Honolulu. There were 6 of us and luckily Kuya Juny's Dodge Intrepid was a large size car that all of us were easily accommodated inside it. The Romeros have also just recently arrived in Honolulu and will be returning back to Manila after about 3 months. Col. Romero came to attend a special course in Honolulu and the two daughters went on vacation just to be able to join their father. Mrs. Romero and a third daughter came a few days later to join the rest of their family.

Among the beautiful sites we visited were: The Punchbowl National Cemetery, Nuuanu Pali Lookout, Diamond Head Park, Waikiki Beach, Hanauma Bay, and some parts of the windward side of the island of Oahu. The different pictures shown below should give give a good idea of the many beautiful and scenic sites we saw.
