"Jet lag and all, he's very good. He's a good shot from the shaded area. He can run, defend and go for rebounds. He doesn't stop moving even if he's boxed out. I just hope his physical game doesn't get him into trouble," Webb said.

While acknowledging the strength of Great Taste Coffee, Tanduay, Ginebra San Miguel and Manila Beer, Webb thinks his team would not be left behind. "My disadvantage is in having had little time to really know my boys," he said.

The Bug Busters plunge into action against the Tanduay Rhum Makers Sunday in a doubleheader kicking off the league's 11th season. The other contest pits Ginebra San Miguel against Great Taste.

Shell Chemicals burst into the play-for-pay league by buying out the Crispa Redmanizers lock, stock and barrel. But of the Redmanizers with existing contracts, Shell only got four and later acquired Adornado from Great Taste which traded off for William Pearson.

The Bug Busters signed up Rey Lazaro and Dennis Abbatuan, both from Tanduay, and got Alberto Gutierrez from Beer Hausen in the course of the pre-season player movement.

The team carries the brandname of the agricultural insecticide, Azodrin, marketed locally by Shell Chemicals (Phils), Inc., a subsidiary of the Ayala Group representing the interests of Filipino investors who own 60 percent of the Company.
