My full-time career is bilingual music teacher at a local elementary school. It is a job that I love dearly! Where else can you get paid to sing and dance with children all day long?! :o) And before that, I taught French at different schools in Whitehorse, Yukon before moving back home to Alberta. I am completely bilingual and did my Bachelor's of French Education degree at the Faculte St. Jean through the Univ. of Alberta.
As this website attests to, I also am an Independent Regal Greetings & Gifts Sales Representative. I started selling Regal 9 years ago when I was looking for a way to earn some extra income while taking care of my oldest son and finishing my teaching degree.
I also joined up with Regal because I loved their products, and being new to Whitehorse, Yukon, I didn't know anyone who was selling their products.
Since then, I have gone from buying for myself and a few friends, door-to-door sales, selling to my collegues, and now, selling Regal products online! All of the products that I had purchased since I started with Regal, I still have and still use. My favorite home decor item is their "Mom's Mood" wall hanging. It's a cute little decorative piece with 5 little pegs on the bottom with 5 mood sayings on them. You move the little heart loop on the peg that matches your mood! My boys get a kick out of moving it to the "Watch Out" peg when I'm mad at them about something!
And I would have to say that my favorite handy kitchen items (I have 2) are: my microwave lid cover and my turbo pitcher! They both have saved me time and clean-up duty.
There are many more favorites that I've purchased, but I will let you figure out for yourself which products you can't do without!
This year, I have also started selling items on Ebay.ca. Mostly baby items that I don't need anymore since my boys are starting to grow up! But also some books, collectibles, women's clothing, and other gems that I find through friends, family and garage sales. You never know what people don't need anymore that might be of value to someone else! Hey, that's why garage sales came into being!
