The Jagaddhatri idol of Chasapara is fondly called the "Burima", ie The Old Mother.It is the most visited puja in Krishnanagar . The massive idol in daker saj , wearing gold & silver ornaments attarcts thousands of devotees and visitors from all over the state.It is a must see for everyone.Burima is also the star attraction during immersion.The procession of Burima comes last of all,carried by human bearers.Visitors wait beating the winter chill till late midnight to see the Burima in procession .The organisers claim the tradition of Burima to be over a couple of centuries old.
