Appearance: No�l stands at an average 6� even and is quite well built with toned muscles and broad shoulders, yet keeps a relatively lean frame. His hair is pure black and cut short, slicked back with bangs spiking out over his eyes contrasting nicely with his extremely pale skin. His features are handsome in an almost roguish way: strong jaw, defined cheek bones, straight and proud nose, full lips and slightly arching eyebrows. He isn�t exactly clean shaved, usually seen with a 5 o�clock shadow no matter what time of the day� it�s only scruff though, aside from the small soul patch below his lower lip. His eyes are another feature of startling contrast and shocking intensity; grey, yet almost white, with a rim of dark red around the Iris. If one were to look close enough it would appear as if there were actually clouds moving inside. He also possesses perfect white teeth, his canines rather pointed and sharp; this, combined with his pale skin and unusual eyes gives him a slightly demonic quality. Rather than wearing robes or any traditional wizarding garments, No�l prefers to dress in black comfortable and well worn Muggle clothing. A basic outfit consists of black boots, jeans and a tight black t-shirt. He wears a small silver dragon emblem on a chain most of the time and usually is seen with his small silver rimmed glasses for reading; although he tends to forget he has those on. There�s usually has a cigarette dangling from his lip as well. His left ear is pierced once with a small silver ring and he has a large black cross tattoo taking up a large part of his left arm and a smaller version of that cross tattooed behind his right ear.

Notable Traits: He�s a bit of a pack rat. His room and classroom are filled with crazy things that either intrigue or freak people out. Strange animal skeletons, odd muggle tribal war masks, Japanese samurai armor and swords, Mayan pottery, ancient texts on spells, rituals, magical creatures, sports, black magic, demons�.(all original copies too)... and copious amounts of other moldy old junk� (As Shagiel would call it)

Personality: Most would think after taking one look at No�l that he was, for lack of a better or more creative term, evil. However, he is quite the opposite, as far as his general persona is concerned. True, he is an absolute and utter mystery in many respects; never letting much about him slip other than the astounding tales of his journeys he tells freely to those that query. Other than the privacy and obscurity surrounding him, No�l appears to be a pleasant and compassionate man, very calm and charming. Numerous well respected sources would call him wise beyond his years actually, though he doesn�t always let it show. However, he always seems calm and in control, which may be the reason he makes quite a few people nervous for one reason or another. Overall, the majority of people that do take time to get to know him respect him for who he is; acknowledging both his achievements and bizarre life, as well as his quirks and eccentricities. Usually he is seen with a lazy smile on his face and has been known to very rarely lose his temper, usually attempting to be the voice of reason in most situations. There�s something about him though, that raises the hair on the back of your neck� and it�s as if he always knows something others don't�

History: He was born into a very rich and famous Wizarding family residing in France. His parents and family line are unfortunately renowned practitioners of the darkest of the sinister arts and have turned out more than their fair share of villains and even a few �death eaters� (His parents included). No�l was raised in an atmosphere of what most would call downright evil. His early years of life linger still as somewhat of an anonymity apart from the fact that around his 11th year, he was sent to the Durmstrang school of Wizardry, situated somewhere in Northern Europe. It�s a notorious fact that at the Durmstrang School, the students are not only educated in defending against black magic, but taught to wield it as well. Nevertheless, the fact that he was sent to this boarding school was perhaps the best thing his parents could have done for him, seeing as he probably would have grown up to be just like them had he remained home. As the case was, No�l graduated top of his class, making head boy and captain of the Quidditch team for two years running. After his graduation, he took up traveling across the world, collecting and learning things from various cultures and regions of the globe. For a while he worked as an Auror, and then spent time as a vampire hunter, then a year or so as a freedom fighter in Kenya. A resident exorcist as well as a freelance archeologist, it would appear that No�l has done it all, even playing chaser for one of the world league Quidditch teams for a year before retiring to attend a dig in Malaysia. Somehow, although people don�t know quite what the details are, No�l ended up at Shastina, employed with a cozy teaching job in the area of history and free room and board. Not everyone trusts him, due to his past, strange habits, and odd aptitude for any and all of the dark arts. He simply smiles at these people and keeps his secrets to himself.

Pet: Oh, he has several unusual pets that lurk around the school. Here are just a few:

o A Diricawl named Darby. A Diricawl is a plump, flightless bird with fluffy feathers, from Mauritius. Diricawls evade danger by disappearing in a puff of feathers and reappearing somewhere else. Muggles knew this bird as the "dodo". They mistakenly believe they hunted this animal to extinction.
o A miniature Antipodean Opaleye named Kauri. Antipodean Opaleye is a breed of dragons from New Zealand and Australia. A normal sized dragon is a valley-dweller that is medium sized and between two to three tons in weight. They have scales resembling iridescent mother-of-pearl and eyes without pupils and breathe a scarlet flame. Kauri, however, is a miniature. She is only about the size of a large cat and tends to spend her time sunning herself on No�l�s desk or eating mice.
o A miniature Chinese Fireball named Taru. This breed of dragon is known for its smooth scales, colored scarlet with a fringe of gold spikes encircling its face. Its protuberant eyes are set about a snubby snout. The average dragon weighs between two to four tons and produces a mushroom-shaped flame. Taru isn�t quite average (much to his displeasure) and is already at his full size and isn�t much larger than your average lap dog. He spends most of his time making a general nuisance of himself and catching birds.
o A Clabbert named Ganan. The Clabbert looks like a cross between a monkey and a frog. It is characterized by smooth, mottled green skin, webbed hands and feet, and long limbs which enable it to easily swing from branch to branch. There are short horns on its head. Razor sharp teeth fill its wide mouth, which appears to be grinning in macabre fashion. Its most noticeable feature is a large pustule centered on its forehead. The pustule flashes and turns bright red when the creature senses danger. o A Puffskein named Tuff. Puffskein are found worldwide. This is a docile creature that likes to be cuddled and truly doesn't mind being tossed around. It is shaped like a sphere. Soft fur the color of custard covers it. It hums in low tones when contented. Sometimes, it sticks its very long, thin and pink tongue out in a snaking search for food: anything from leftovers to insects and spiders, and occasionally it eats bogies from the noses of sleeping wizards.
o A Kneazle named Oberon. Kneazles originate from Britain and are a small catlike animal. Its fur is spotted or flecked, its ears large, and its tail resembles a lion's. They are characterized by intelligence, independence, occasional aggression, and are capable of being wonderful pets if they like a wizard or witch. Oberon just happens to like Noel very much. He is usually seen in the company of the dragoness Kauri.
o A Selkep named Anu. She is a large and elegant animal, always well groomed and taken care of. She has bright soulful eyes that speak of ageless unspoken wisdom and her entire form is pure white. She was given to him by a Mayan Priestess in lower South America after he saved their village from a rampaging Chimera.
Now, these are just a few of the animals he has brought with him to the school (not to mention continuously picks up on vacation) so if there is something strange lurking about� try not to kill it. It may be a certain somebody�s pet.
