Appearance: Inali is a native Huron from Canada. She shares the looks of her people; her warm slanted eyes are dark, and her skin bronzed from many summers in southern Canada. Her long-nosed face is framed by waves of deep black. To keep it out of her face, her hair is generally tied back into a thick, multi-layered braid that reaches down her spine. He grandmother used to joke about the braid, so black that it had blue highlights, saying that it was a coil of Obsidian. Her hands are long and graceful, usually smudged with ink. Inali is small and quick, giving the impression of a sparrow flitting from tree to tree. She smiles only if she has been truly touched, a gesture that transforms her entirely.

Notable Traits: : Inali is a poet at heart, bearing her ink stained hands as proof. She seems to live in her own fantasies, but do not be deceived. She is more aware of her surroundings than you may think, and reads events and people around her with uncanny precision. She is deathly afraid of heights and would never play Quidditch or Jedaiger. However, she has not allowed her small frame to prevent her from playing Hockey. When given the option, she would prefer a one-on-one hockey match to an actual wizarding duel.

Personality: : At first glance, Inali may seem overly quiet, even unfriendly. Don�t be put off, this is only her temporary phase of withdrawal while writing in her head, something she indulges in almost daily. Be careful: she is very irritable if forcibly shaken from this trancelike state. Inali is also extremely outspoken, and seldom holds back her thoughts. This has often landed her in trouble with authority, and probably will again now that she has come to Shastina. She also has a sharp tongue, but rarely means to actually hurt others. She is impulsively curious, and most of her exploits are results of such random wandering. Among other things, she also has a passion for puzzles and other mind-games.

History: Though she visits her cousins every year in southern Canada, Inali was raised most of her life with her grandmother in Montreal. At her grandmother�s insistence, she attended a local muggle school through eighth grade, where she realized her fascination with languages, discovered creative writing, and was befriended by a brilliant young muggle: her English teacher. Ms. Altheas, a young passionate poet, shared with her the power inherent in writing and encouraged Inali�s talent. They remain close, sending each other the occasional letter. When her grandmother died two years ago of a heart attack, she came to live with some non-magical relatives on the Californian coast. Despairing of any chance to attend the Canadian wizardry school, she applied to Shastina in a fit of insubordination. She was accepted, and arrived recently in the middle of the year.
