Appearance: Slightly feminine, with a smaller-than-average build and
smaller
features, more refined and smoother, as of some aristocratic
bloodline. He
is by no means ugly, and has a body that looks somewhat naturally
toned for
whatever reason. His hair is a slightly shiny black, short and
complementary
to his fair complexion, and his eyes a grey-mottled blue. In his
features a
mostly British ancestry is evident, though little flairs of Italian and
French blood dot the landscape of his heritage, as evident in his
body. xx
holds himself up with eternally good posture, as if he was groomed (and
perhaps he was) for it, though not with so much of an arrogant air, but
possessing a faintly otherwordly one in his standing and appearance.
Notable Traits: Edwin tends to be non-talkative, despite his moderate
attractiveness and seemings of high breeding. He's a quick study,
especially
when it comes to dark and transmutive magic, and enjoys magic play
perhaps
too well. When faced with a confrontation, if it has nothing to do
with his
family or friends, he usually shrugs it off or turns apathy to it; but
when
it comes to either of those, he gets frightening, drawing upon magical
might
in anger rarely seen from him (which sometimes leads to possession).
Personality: Edwin has a very calm demeanour, seeming somewhat odd in a
spiritual / otherwordly sense. Confidence and self-assurance are evident
only when he's working magic or around family, and sometimes friends.
When
around those he's comfortable with, he's somewhat more expressive, and
even
laughs on occasion. He likes casual environments the most, excepting when
with his family; despite this and his calmness, he is quick to enforce
respect for his friends and family. As long as no disrespect or
annoyance is
given, which isn't easy for either, he sticks with his easygoing /
calmness.
Rarely, when Edwin gets angry, he seems like a completely different
person,
full of a supernaturally dark stature and malice. Even when it doesn't
lead
into a possession, the sudden flare of strength in his aura is both
suprising and frightening compared to his normal self.
History: Edwin has always been a bright individual, even as a child,
but he
was brightest and excelled most while with his twin sister. As they
grew up
together, they spent time with each other more than with anyone else,
and it
seemed that much of his accomplishments were meant to impress her. His
slightly supernatural presence and calmness resided in him in lesser
degrees
while he was younger, but increased greatly once puberty took its place,
which was "coincidentally" also around the time when he began living with
another part of his family, away from his sister. While with his sister,
Edwin's talents and skills were already impressive; after their
separation,
they honed even further, though becoming more specialized in the darker,
more morbid aspects of magic and life. To his family, it seemed as if
a dark
presence began seeping in, growing more pervasive the more time the two
twins spent apart, though it appeared but faintly in his sister, Alexia.
Edwin brightened when with his sister, but was remarkably changed. Once,
when Edwin was a child, he was possessed by a spirit, and so they
thought it
might be possession again, but they could find nothing in him (though,
unbeknowst to them, his wand radiated darker and darker presences, and he
had been possessed several times over without detection or reporting).
Edwin's parents decided that a change of venue might serve him best
before
trying to pull the two together more and struck on the idea of sending
him
to America. There, they thought, his spirits would be renewed in the
country
of free debauchery, and so they sent him. Obediently he went, and much
was
he to change in this new place and school.
