Year: 3 Appearance: Devante is Spanish and is colored as such. Around 5'11" with a very well toned build� in point of fact; overall he has an exceedingly unapproachable appearance... Painted black nails, a slight roughness at the tips of his fingers due to many years of playing the guitar. Spikes and piercing aside, Dev is usually considered rather handsome, his facial features well defined with full lips, straight nose, slightly arched eyebrows and a strong chin. His eyes perhaps the most intriguing of his natural features-- almost gold in color, intense; burning at times, accented by the black eyeliner he tends to wear as well as the natural golden hue of his skin. His hair is bleached a yellow-y blonde although his dark roots show now since it's grown past his chin... it's all dreaded up with a bunch of brightly colored beads strewn about in it as well as other things like rope and the odd safety pin. He also has a little soul patch, a single strip of hair down the center of his chin; also bleached blonde and surrounded by a bit of stubble. He has perfect white teeth with slightly extended canines and an easy smile (and dimples! ^__^). Under his robes he usually wears Baggy jeans (chains included) with an old white shirt (now kinda gray) that's kind of ratty with holes in the cuffs for his thumbs, covered by an old Led Zeppelin t-shirt� although he does have a lot of other t-shirts... mostly bands of the metal variety with the odd old school punk thrown in ((Sex pistols! W00t!)). Dev wears a black spiked collar and a Taoist charm on a black string... has a spiked wrist band on each wrist and about eight brightly colored friendship bracelets creeping up his left arm. His ears are pierced six times each with one of those weird hole stretching earrings at the bottom of each... his nose is pierced on the right side with a small gold stud, his right eyebrow is pierced with two small gold rings and his lower lip is pierced with a small silver ring (slightly off to the left). He has several tattoos on his body, barbed wire over his left biceps, a pattern covering most of his right forearm, a Uroborus (Snake eating itself) with runes tattooed on the back of his neck, and a intricate snake which coils around his chest, shoulders and back. Notable Traits: He speaks Spanish, some Hungarian and English (with a soft Spanish accent and has a habit of switching between English and Spanish without even noticing) He is also an amateur tattoo artist and has done most of his own tattoos ((and his brother and sister's)) and does most of his own piercing too He�s extremely musical and has been playing the guitar since he was 7... Plays acoustic but prefers electric. Can sing as well with a rather deep, gravely voice. ((Quick point to mention, he�s bisexual� but isn�t so much into looks, just character.)) Personality: Mellow and laid back, tranquil and blas�, always ready with a lazy smile. Couldn't be sure, but I'm guessing it's the weed he's frequently smoking... Even though Dev always seems hassle-free and placid, his eyes (and his music) tend to give away his intense soul� that is, if you know what to look for. Dev is wise beyond his years with a serene intelligence that sometimes baffles the mind. Although he doesn�t always let on just how smart he is, habitually making off hand strange comments ((about house hobos and gnomes stealing his Left socks)) and easily confuses some people as far as where his sanity lies ... he's kinda like Yoda� He's really a pleasant person most of the time and very quick witted when he�s sober. Also, he�s always willing to help someone out, never discriminating against others unless he�s given a reason to. He�s a great judge of character and has a tendency to be overly protective of his friends and is always there if they need someone to help them or to just listen. His exterior usually has him labeled as intimidating, but if you take the time to talk to him, you'll be pleasantly surprised� He�s amazing with animals and carries a certain soothing aura around with him that tends to draw people and animals to him and put one at peace. He�s a musician, surprisingly an athlete and a major stoner� nevertheless he�s just really a nice guy. He�s extremely messy too. His area of the dorm will most likely look like this: two guitar cases, a bass and other random instruments including a couple of bongos, a Bodhr�n, a couple of tin whistles, a violin...the floor is covered by clothes, papers, comic books, a laptop in there somewhere, an amp in the corner� History: Dev was born into a somewhat dysfunctional wizarding family in Madrid, Spain. His Father was a Warlock and his Mother was a Muggle. Regrettably, his Father more or less neglected to enlighten his wife about being from a magical background� you can imagine the bombshell at the wedding. In any case, after Devante was born things started to get a bit too bizarre for the poor woman; floating objects, outlandish animals showing up out of nowhere� even stranger relatives dropping in at all hours of the night by all different means of transportation� Eventually his Mother had an adequate amount of lunacy and decided it would be best if they got a divorce, she simply couldn�t handle the Wizarding lifestyle. After that, Devante moved with his father to Hungary where his father took a career working with Dragons (Hungarian Horntails) at the reservation. Dev spent most of his youth studying magical creatures under his father�s tutorage (His father being a rather well celebrated CoMC specialist and former Professor) and he seemed to demonstrate great promise in that field even from a young age, most animals being startlingly at ease with him. He has a gift as some would say. He attended the �Magyar var�zslatos akad�mia� (Hungarian Academy of Magic) until he was 14 when his father received an admissions letter from the school he had attended as a teen, Shastina. The next year he was sent off to embark on his real training as a wizard, not able to speak very much English and looking much like your archetypal heavy metal guitarist. Over the last couple years at the school, his abilities have progressed very nicely, as has his English� however his appearance seems to be going a bit down hill�
