| Executive Summary | ||||||||||||||
| Knee implants experience a harsh mechano-biological environment. This can lead to various failure modes such as component surface wear, loosening at the bone interface, or mechanical failure. Failure analysis depends upon knowledge of the loading environment. Thus, it is critical to accurately estimate the in-vivo loads experienced by the implant. The goal of this project was to develop a software project for calculating and visualizing internal knee loads for implant design. |
