I have already shared with you why I began Share Agape. Now I want to share with you my reasons for discontinuing it.
For some time now, the Lord has been pushing me in another direction. I waited a number of months to make an announcement because I wanted to be sure it wasn't just my own fatigue that made me want to discontinue Share Agape--that it was, indeed, something God wanted me to do. After a lot of thought and prayer, I am now confident God has other plans for me. Share Agape taught me a lot. It served it's purpose in my life--and, judging from your emails, in other people's lives, as well. I'm thankful for that.
So what do I think God is pressing me toward? Well, a few months back, I was given an opportunity to write a book for Zondervan, one the nation's largest Christian publishing houses. I believe the Lord wants me to pursue the Christian book field. I'm thrilled--and scared...and clinging to the Father's hand as I plunge into this new territory.
I do want to thank everyone who's read Share Agape. Your emails and continued readership have encouraged me, just as I hope Share Agape has encouraged you. I also want you to know that the Share Agape website will remain up and running, so that anyone can explore old "issues" whenever they like.
