We can now start to answer some of those questions asked earlier.: 1. What is the technical death experience?
~ The body dies and there is little to no brain activity (Some would argue this one but argue or not, the fact remains that after both clinical and biological death, a part of the brain is still active, the hair still grows until the head is completely deteriorated). At this point, the spirit is supposed to naturally let go of the body. Some do and some do not. It is according to how emotionally or spiritually "attached" to their body that the individual was, this is including mental attachment. This is very important. A dead body, as long as there is existing matter, can be a source of physical energy for the spirit to draw upon for their own means, no matter what they may be for as long as the body is in existence, any part of it or fragment. ANY physical matter left after death can be ad is a source of major spiritual power for the spirit of the deceased. This is why some ancient cultures burned their dead. They didn't have the holdups of modern disbelief about what we now classify as paranormal. Of course they had other reasons as well, or we can assume that they did. The other reasons were burial space was limited and sanitary reasons as well. In some special cases, an in the Egyptian cultures, mummification was embodied as sacred and practiced to a fine art, much like the modern embalming procedures but they did not put "Plain Joe" in an air tight tomb and use their rare and sacred herbs to preserve Plain Joe's body. It was much more involved and especially ritualized. statues were placed as markers of the sacred dead, including statues of their personal deity figures. This gives some malicious spirits the right knowledge in the wrong hands. Believe me, with the sight of the spirit and the knowledge that passing the Veil between worlds gives any particular soul at any given time, Plain Joe might not have any qualms about using his dead body for energy for his own purposes, especially if he knows how to replenish it! As for the spirit itself, it is relieved of the confines of the body and the sight of the spirit opens more than it had been in life. It is still the sight of the mind, but now on a deeper and more accessible. The means of death becomes very important here as when the spirit eyes open. It is up to the mind what they see in their world to a point. The mental and spiritual state can and does block truth. Everything depends on the mental state at the point of death. This is not to say that a spirit cannot still grow or change over time. We have to keep in mind that time isn't relevant in the otherworld as it is in this. One hour for us could be one minute for them or vice versa. A minute could be a day ... etc. No one can say for certain where the spirit will reside after death, save the personal beliefs and needs of the particular spirit. Some hang around for various reasons other than unfinished business. There are a world of reasons why a spirit might remain in the earth realm. Some belong here period. Some choose to stay because this makes them happy. Some do have unfinished business. There are too many misconceptions of the "why's" of a spirit staying here in the realm of earth. There are also way too many pre assumptions. Where one goes and what happens after death is a very personal thing and cannot be guessed or determined outside of the particular spirit themselves.
2. What do we already know about the state of the spirit just after death?
This state differs from situation to situation and from spirit to spirit. Some spirits are not blocked in any way from manifesting in the physical right after death. From our studies, we can determine that when the spirit is released from the body, there is a transformation of energies where the spirit was once attached to a physical body, the letting go strengthens the astral form for it's new habitat and the energies of the astral self become more physical where the attachment to the body once was, only in a differing physical form. this differing physical form is made to naturally function on all planes as is, unlike the preparation that we have to make in order to transcend the planes while we are in or physical bodies as in Out of Body experiences. We can view this as having gone through a transformation of forms.
3. How does these states of our bodies effect our spirit?
This is a good question. The physical body has a great effect on the spirit being so closely connected to the flesh through the birth process. It is given, considering all the evidence combined, that physical illness stems from a spiritual source, even if that be through genetics. There is hardly room for any other conclusions when we have already reached the conclusion that spirits who interact or manifest physically, whether it be by manipulating objects, sound, sight, or other, are in fact of some form of physical substance. Energy is physical substance. All matter is condensed energy. In other words, you get enough energy together, you got yourself a tangible object or entity. We are tangible entities. Our bodies are made of atoms, no matter what the source is, i.e., water. All atoms gather to form matter. The energy that we detect is parts or all of what makes up an atom or ion. Both are physical substance, or the basework for physical substance. The same goes for radiation. From this the conclusion can be drawn anything that effects the physical body also effects the spirit and vice versa. Physical illness can also limit the spirit even more than the spiritual root of the illness. Pain makes it harder to concentrate enough on the world of spirit and the mind to get an accurate account of the reality of the otherworld. It causes blocks, less concentration and sudden distractions to the focus of the mind. The physical body has many effects on the spirit of the person and the awareness that come with awakening. Anything that is a physical hindrance can hinder the communication process and the awareness. Total mental focus is required. Physical illness or injury takes it's toll, whether you want it to or not. Even if it seems not to, the subconscious picks up on the thing that is wrong, and makes up for it, so to say, decreasing the chances of total awareness. |
