Fremont B. Shackelton Family
Fremont B. Shackelton is the oldest son of Benjamin Shackelton and Lavinia Miller. He moved with his parents from Illinois to Kansas in a covered wagon in 1869. His name is listed in the school children in second grade at the Osage Public School. Fremont married Mayetta Romp in a double cerimony with his sister Della. Fremont and Della married brother and sister. Fremont was a salesman and also caretaker of the Neosho State Park
