Fasoria is a very important country in Linda's Chronicles. More info about it here.
People The people of Fasoria are usually blond, although there are plenty of brunettes and a lot of redheads too. I'd say that the population for hair color is about... 40% red hair, 45% blond hair, 10% brown hair, and 5% black hair. The eye color is the same as any average country on Earth, and the skin color, as most of Oceanus's known inhabitants, is white. However, the average skin tone became overall darker once the inhabitants of Fasoria started intermarrying with Calorameanans and Malorians starting in the 1090's. Religion The religion is composed of a normal amount of priests, monks, etc., and being of the Fasorian faith is considered a serious thing although people are usually free to worship who, what, and how they choose. Their goddess-queen, Talea, is fairy-like and kind of inspired by 'Tanya,' the Russian fairy-queen. Basically, Talea is supposed to be a benevolent and fairy-mother, while Parçakuer is kind of... cruel and a little malevolent. There are probably some little fairy spirits floating around too, but as with most of the religions in Oceanus, I haven't gone too much into depth. It is traditional for the Royal Family to host a masquerade party for New Year's Eve and dress up as the king-god and queen-goddess. Also many ceremonies such as wedding ceremonies and coronations are very symbolic, and are tied closely to the religion of Fasoria. Land and Culture Fasoria is similar to Rospa, being very close geographically to it. However, Rospa is more like Scotland, Sweden, or Norway, while Fasoria is more like Russia. They use furry hats like the Russians, although they don't quite have those Russian accents, (no "Nuclear Wessels!"), and they have pretty colorful outfits a lot. They do have summer, of course, and it's just as warm as a summer in lower Canada or Maine. But they tend to be colder than the average temperate climate. They grow normal crops in agriculture, and they have animals like ours, although with thicker fur and of course we all know that animals of the Middle Ages weren't as steroid-filled and meaty/productive as ours. But anyways, they're kind of Russian-like, with a kind of Russian climate, and that stuff. As I may or may not have stated before, they are warlike people, usually very aggressive and dominant towards other cultures and countries, especially in the War of 1049-1054. |
