1965  - Idea of formation of the major uniform groups.

1966  - Formation of the United Cadet Corps (UCC), which included Police Cadets, Land cadets, Air cadets and Sea cadets. A total strength of 159 cadets as St. Gabriels Pioneer Cadet.

1968  -The 2nd batch of recruitment. Talks on split police cadets from the rest.

1969  - Police cadets split and took name as the National Police Cadet CORPS (NPCC). Land cadets, Air cadets and Sea cadets were known as the Army Cadets Corps. (ACC)

1971  -National Cadets Corps (NCC) took name. 2 LT Eng Bak Sam and 2LT Wendy DCosta was appointed as officers in-charge.

1972  -Last badge of NCC (Sea) cadets with only 2 recruitment

1973  -Only NCC (Land) and NCC (Air) operated as a combined unit.

1984  - NCC (Land) and NCC(Air) split each forming independent units.Captain Eng Bak Sam was NCC (Land)s first Commanding Officer.Captain Wendy DCosta was NCC (Air)s first Commanding Officer.

1986  -NCC (Air) was converted to Headquarters Unit at AETI Changi Air Base after Captain Wendy DCosta left St. Gabriels. Mr. Joaquim Pereira took over to continue the Ncc(Air) unit.

2000 - NCC (Air) became a school unit with 2 LT Tuang Fook Yong as our Commanding Officer.

2001 -NCC (Air) clenched the Chief of Air Force Challenge Trophy.

2002 -NCC (AIR) won Gold Unit.

2003 -NCC (AIR) won Gold Unit & Chief of Air Force Challenge Trophy.

2004 -LT Desmond Kao became the Commanding Officer of our school unit. 2LT Fandrie Koh Training Officer, LT Tuang Fook Yong became the Assistant Commanding Officer. NCC (AIR) won the Gold Award this year.

2005 -2LT Tan Chuan Jui became our unit's commanding officer. 2LT Fandrie Koh and LT Tuang Fook Yong became the Assistant Commanding Officer. Upon leaving St. Gabriel's Secondary, LT Desmond Kao stepped down.
