Take out a platform and petition from Office of Student Involvement in the Student Union Building. Fill out a 250 word platform asserting why you would like to join SGA, and how you plan to make a difference on campus. Also, obtain 100 signatures from the student body to gain candidacy.
What are roll-in elections?
During the Spring semester, if there are open Freshmen & Sophomore senator positions, candidates can take out roll-in platforms and be voted in by current SGA members.
Do I have to be a member of SGA to attend the weekly meetings?
No, all SGA meetings are public. All students/faculty are welcome to attend our meetings. If you wish to voice your opinion on an issue on campus, contact the SGA secretary to be put on the agenda as a guest speaker.
Can I still be a member if my class ends at 4:30 P.M., or beings at 6:30 P.M.?
This answer depends on the situation. Speak with SGA advisor Debra Balestra or E-Board members for more information.
