How do I become a member?
There are a few minimum requirements you must
meet, if you meet them, feel free to download an application and
submit it. For more information click here.
What king of training is involved?
What kind of equipment will I get?
Boots, helmet, turnout gear and gloves. Members are responsible
for all equipment.
Am I covered by insurance?
Yes- Registered members, both explorers and advisors are covered
by the Boy Scout Council Accident Coverage Policy.
How is the post funded?
The post is funded through
donations and several fundraisers throughout the year. If you are
interested in making a donation, please contact Dale.
What does the explorer post do?
The main activity of the post is firefighting education and
training. The post also donates to the annual Senior Dinner, and
members volunteer at many events throughout the year, including
parades. Members also have the opportunity to participate in fire
department ride-alongs.
Do I need firefighting experience
to become a member?
No, the goal of the post is to educate you about the fire
service, most members join with no prior firefighting education
or experience.

What is the uniform code for
events?
Class 3 uniform = T-shirts, jeans, ball
caps
Class 2 uniform = Dress shirts, all
badges and buttons, dark pants, dark shoes. Ball Cap per event
Class 1 uniform = Honor Guard uniform,
shiny black shoes, uniform cap
