To give you and idea of who we are, we have listed some of our recent concerts and events.



Past Events

  • July 1, 2004: Proud to be Canadian! Canada Day. 2:00 pm, Fort Langley National Historic Site, 23433 Mavis Avenue, Fort Langley BC. Built in 1827, Fort Langley was part of the Hudson's Bay Company's network of fur trading posts across what is now Western Canada. In response to the gold rush, which attracted many Americans, British Columbia was proclaimed a Crown Colony at Fort Langley in 1858. Today, Fort Langley evokes a sense of historic place with one original building and several reconstructed buildings, costumed interpreters, historic objects and special events.

  • July 9, 2004: SFCB Golf Tournament. 6 pm. $20 - Come out and have some fun! 6 pm. Hazelmere Country Club, 18150-8th Avenue, Surrey BC.

  • August 6-8, 2004: Concert TBA. Time TBA. Surrey BC.

  • August 21 or 28, 2004: Garage Sale TBA. Time TBA. Surrey BC.

  • June 19, 2004: Fort Langley Railway Days. Time TBA. Location TBA, Featuring model railway displays, memorabilia, railway art and family fun at various venues throughout the Village.

  • June 19, 2004: Langley Days. 9 am. Location TBA, Parade, buskers festival, various family fun activities. City of Langley 604-514-2800.

  • June 12, 2004: SFCB Garage Sale!. Help send out band to Holland! Location TBA.

  • June 4, 2004: The Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Centennial Park - 7PM (opening ceremony - we may play twice). The Relay for Life is a community celebration where individuals and teams camp out, dance, and take turns walking, running or wheelchairing around a track "relay" style to raise funds to fight cancer. At nightfall, participants light hundreds of luminary candles around the track in a moving ceremony to honour cancer survivors as well as friends and family members lost to the disease. 14600 North Bluff Road, White Rock BC.

  • May 30, 2004: 3rd Annual Run, Walk & Roll for our Kids 2004. 8:30 AM. To benefit the South Fraser Child Development Centre. It's a family event with something for everyone. Run, Walk or Roll, collect pledges, have fun and make a difference that matters to children with special needs and their families. Enter as an individual, a family or a corporate team. Join us for an event where athletes of all abilities can reach their personal goals. By the track - Bear Creek Park, 13750 - 88 Avenue, Surrey BC.

  • May 24, 2004: 82nd Annual May Day Parade. Call time 9:30 am. Performance 10:00 am. We will be in front of the yellow Community Hall on the main strip, Fort Langley BC.

  • May 13, 2004: Fraser Valley Kiwanis Music Festival. 7:30 pm. This will be at the Kwantlen University College Theatre, 20901 Langley Bypass, Langley BC.

  • March 26, 2004: UBC Wind Ensemble Invitational. 7 pm. This will be at the Chan Centre for Performing Arts, 6265 Crescent Road, Vancouver, BC Canada.

  • October 25, 2003: SFCB Bowling Night. 7 pm. Xcalibur Bowling Center, 12350 Pattulo Place, Surrey BC. Make up your own team or we can put one together. Cost is $22.00 per person, which includes 2 games, shoe rental, appys and a drink.

  • October 16, 2003: Timberline Ranch. 8 pm. 22351 144th Ave, Maple Ridge.

  • October 11, 2003: Cranberry Festival - Fort Langley . 11 am. In front of the Community Center. 8th annual event with activities all day throughout the Village including cranberry vendors and field tours, scarecrow contest, canoe regatta on the Bedford channel, music, family entertainment and more.

  • June 14, 2003: SFCB Garage Sale. 8:30 am - 2 pm. 311 Ward Street, New Westminster BC.

  • June 13, 2003: Relay for Life 2003. 8:45 pm. Bear Creek Park 88th Avenue & King George Hwy, Surrey BC. A celebration of survival and a tribute to the lives of loved ones. This is a community-based event with teams of eight or more who participate in an overnight relay. Camp out around the track and enjoy camaraderie, entertainment, refreshments and fun.   • June 8, 2003: Second Annual Run, Walk & Roll for Our Kids. 10 am. Bear Creek Park 88th Avenue & King George Hwy, Surrey BC. This is a family event with something for everyone. Join recently-retired BC Lions player Jamie Tares to Run, Walk or Roll, collect pledges, have fun, and make a difference that matter to children with special needs and their families.   • May 4, 2003: 25th Annual Bay Walk, Run or Paddle 5K. White Rock BC. Proceeds support the Canadian Cancer Society. The scenic walk, run and paddle takes place at White Rock Beach. Supported by many local sponsors and participants who raise funds through pledges, for cancer research and patient services.

  • April 10, 2003: Scottsdale Mall Concert. Surrey BC.

  • January 29, 2003: Seaquam Secondary School Invitational. 11584 Lyon Road, Delta BC (In the main theatre).

  • December 21, 2002: Bear Creek Park Train Station. 13750 - 88 Avenue, Surrey BC.

  • December 19, 2002: Festival of Lights and Trains. Private residence, 6133 - 132nd Street, Surrey BC.

  • November 30, 2002: BC Cancer Society Award Luncheon. The Salvation Army Church & Cascade Court, 35190 Delair Road, Surrey BC.

  • November 23, 2002: BC Cancer Society Award Luncheon. Sunrise Banquet & Conference Centre, 5640-188th Street, Surrey BC.

  • May 25, 2002: Private Function: Southlands Riding Club. 7025 MacDonald Street, Vancouver BC (Across from McLeery Golf Course at SW Marine Drive).

  • March 2, 2002: SFCB Pub Night & Silent Auction. Join us at the Sandcastle Bar & Grill at 1938 - 152 Street, in White Rock as we have our first fundraiser for the New Year. Tickets are only $10 and include two free drinks!.

  • December 22, 2001: Bear Creek Park. 7 pm! 13750 - 88th Avenue at King George Hwy, Surrey BC.

  • December 6, 2001: We are looking forward to being part of the festivities for the Parade of Lights Festival. We are the ones freezing oops - performing - in the outdoor Amphitheatre, 8-9 pm! 176 Street & 64 Avenue, Cloverdale BC.

  • September 9, 2001: Cancer Society: 4K Walk Run Paddle, White Rock BC.

  • September 14-16, 2001: Whistler Jazz and Blues Festival, Whistler BC. We are proud once again to be participating at the Whistler Jazz and Blues Festival. We will be one of the many street performers providing free music in the village. Here is what festival organizers have to say about us:

    "This 35-member community band puts all their heart and soul into their performances to produce an entrancing musical sound. Playing some of the great standards in concert band selections, this cast of hobby musicians will put on a show like no other."

  • September 29, 2001: Canadian Cancer Society's Tour for a friend. We are in the bandshell at Semiahmoo Park, White Rock BC.
