Well, today was a GREAT DAY for me :o) There were several good things that happened.
First thing this morning, I weighed myself, and I was back down to 162; I had gained 2 pounds over the weekend from the foods I ate at Christmas parties in Louisiana while visiting relatives. Still wishing that I will lose those 3 pounds that are keeping me in the 160's before my 5 month anniversary. Maybe if I could actually find the time to exercise, that would happen.
Then, I had an interview for an adaptive behavior teacher position at a Middle School in Spring ISD. The interview went very well, and they called me later in the afternoon to offer me the position. I, of course, accepted seeing as how I was money-less and job-less just yesterday :-( Now, I have a job and will have money soon!
After I got home from my interview, I decided to finally check my grades for the last semester of Graduate School. I had been avoiding checking my grades b/c I feared that I wouldn't have straight A's; my goal for Grad School was to get a 4.0. Well, I SUCCEEDED in getting my 4.0 for graduate school. I guess the guilt trip I gave my professor for the class I was worried about really paid off *LOL* I told my family that they have to take me out to celebrate. I'm thinking SEAFOOD!!!
Finally, this evening I hosted a Clothes Swap party. Karina (Sweet Pineapple) and Emma were able to attend the party, and they went home with several new additions for their closets. My mom and sister also attended, and my sister went home with several new additions for her closet as well. I was able to get rid of several clothes, which made me very HAPPY :-D I would say that the Clothes Swap Party was definitely a success, and Karina, Emma, and I have decided that we definitely need to have another one soon - for all that were unable to attend but expressed an interest. I was thinking maybe some time around the end of January.
