The fate of Oz
Is it coincidence that landed Seth Green a job on Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
Based on overwhelming evidence of mystic forces at work, we think not.
Here's why:
Exhibit A: The year was 1988 and Green was shooting the feature film
'My Stepmother is an Alien' Also appearing in the film: Alyson Hannigan,
a.k.a. Willow Rosenberg. The two stayed friends and then made goo-goo eyes
at each other in Buffy.
Exhibit B: Okay, so the Alyson Hannigan connection maybe more of a
coincidence than one of those weird things that make you go, "oooooh".
How about the fact that in the 1993 episode of Seaquest DSV, Green,
whose Buffy persona was a werewolf, played a character called...
the Wolfman. "I don't think there was any kind of qsychic correlation," Green says, obviously suffering from a bad case of denial.
Exhibit C (part one): In 1991, Green played a character named David in the
short-lived 1991 sitcom Good & Evil. Later that year he went on to appear in an episode of Beverly Hills 90210
where actor Brian Austin Green also plays a character called David.
Exhibit C (part two): Luke Perry, who also starred in 90210, appeared in a
little picture by the name of -you guessed it- Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Even weirder, is that Green also had a small part in the film, but it was
mysteriously cut from the final print. "I was cut out, because I sucked."
Feel free to go, "ooooooh" at any time.
