After
visiting the dam, with its low water level and closed services
(it was still early in the morning), we went back up the road
to La Hacienda to partake of their bitchin' $5 breakfast -- good,
not great, but exactly what it is worth. Dan also enjoyed the
$2 blackjack and craps.
On our way back into town, we we
stopped at the Clark County Heritage Museum. That was pretty
nifty. Lots of natural history and anthropology from the region,
do-dads from Fabulous Las Vegas, and whatnot. Out back, they
also have houses dating from 1910-1950 decorated to show how
people in the valley lived during the first half of the last
century. We also got to see that new Packard everyone is talking
about.
