Apparently it was not hot enough for us
in Vegas, so by 6:30 AM or so Dan, Nancy, and Zoonar hit the
road in search of Sea Level. Dan voted for the Gulf of California,
but the little Mrs. said it had to be some place closer. So,
the obvious choice was Death Valley in California.
The drive was short and scenic
through all the yucca and Joshua trees. [more needs to be typed
here about the route]
Once we got over the pass into
the valley, it was really cool. Barren and HOT. We stopped at
an abandoned Borax mine, and on the way worked toward joining
the BSLC (Below Sea Level Club -- wink wink).
