Master Larry E. Stone is the owner and operator of the center. He is a fifth degree Blackbelt in American Karate and a Fourth degree in Shotokan Karate. Master Stone holds black belt rank in several styles and is a certified instructor. He instucts classes in Martial Arts, Karate, Kickboxing, Self-Defense, Boxing, and weapons. Larry has taught Champions at State, National, and Internation levels. He has taught Police and Security Departments in both Ohio and Kentucky at City, State, and Federal levels. He was a Constable and Deputy Sheriff for several years in Kentucky. He has worked as a bodyguard, head of security (for high risk situations), bouncer, volunteer firefighter, and member of the Fire/Rescue Team. He was nominated to the Who's Who in Martial Arts in the Library of Congress, spring of 1996. In 1997 he was nominated and inducted into the Who's Who in Martial Arts. He was nominated again in 1999 and 2001. He was selected as a qualified candidate for inclusion in the 1999 edition of International Who's Who. 2001 and 2002 he was nominated to be inducted in the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame. In 2004 he was appointed to the United States National Martial Arts Team to compete in Athens, Greece. He has been in Martial Arts for over Twenty (20) years and has been teaching for over seventeen (17) years. Master Stone says " Martial Arts are something that only people with a strong will to succeed can do. It takes hard work and dedication. You get back what you put into it". Master Stone has taught thousands of students and has trained many state, national, and international champions. He too has competed and won trophies and medals at state, national and international competitions. He has taught hundreds of self-defese classes to women, law enforcement, and security personnel. At fifty-one years of age, Master Stone feels that his students are what make him. He says they are the future of the arts, no matter their age. His goal is to reach and teach as many people as possible about the arts and to leave behind a legacy of setting examples for others to follow. Master Stone not only teaches the arts, but helps those who have been in the arts who are under-ranked for their length of time. |
