Author: Freak Nightshade Complications: Not so far End Result: I'll have to wait a while Happy with the Result: So far, I'm happy with them =) Usually they hurt Date Done: Today (July 2003) [Story recieved July 23, 2003] Story: I sometimes get this spur on the moment for piercings, and since I have 6 weeks holiday off school and I'm not allowed anything pierced, I thought I'd pierce my ears. Usually, they take about half an hour each ear, with blood and pain. I never usually use anything, no ice or heat, and one thing I don't usually do, which is bad, is clean my needle, earrings etc. Anyway, this time I cleaned them all for about 10 minutes, and got some ice ready. I put ice on them for about 5 minutes, and used hair gel for lube. No, I dont recommend using it, but nowhere round here sells proper numbing piercing gel stuff, and I thought hey, maybe it will be easier. It went through with no pain, all I could feel was the needle going through! I thought wow, it does usually hurt but I was smiling after. I left the needle in for a few minutes while it throbbed, put some ice back on it, pulled the needle back out and put my earring through. I repeated it for the other ear, and I'm all done! I was going to try and pierce my cartilege again above the new hole, but I already had 2 holes up there, and it hurt when I tried so I couldn't be bothered ![]() Needle: Regular sewing needle Gauge: 20G?
