HK is a sci-fi trip...from the
airport into the city it looks
like some metropolis
wonderland...massive,
glistening and immaculately
landscaped highways,
suspension bridges and
residental high-rises, all rising
effortlessly out of the jungle.
All of this infrastructure has
gone up over the last 10/15
years...HK is a series of
small mountainous islands...
there seems to be so much
space outside the city, but
they still cram into these
super compact residential
hight rises...often each one
has it's own train station and
shopping centre...
Right:
Fourth world indeed....

I probably joined several million
other happie snappers when i
took these pics....but it had to
be done...HK's famous Skyline
It's basically an island CBD...
awesome sure, but its a little
oppressive...the architecture,
the millions of people...it
has a way of making you feel
very very small and very
very inadequate...These are
the metal towers of Babylon,
the air is thick with commerce
and greed...
