Projects Galore!
We never could have imagined that a new home would require so much work!
Every spare weekend, vacation time from work, all spent on a never-ending list of projects around
the house. Some of the big ones are finally finished, YIPPIE! Documented below...
The Yards
Okay, it doesn't look like much; a lawn, a few plants and trees. It's a project
that is by no means complete but it has taken an incredible amount of work to get it to this point.
The best part is, now there is free time to do other projects, like mowing the lawn every weekend!
The BMW
It's not technically a house project, but since it is taking up room in the side
yard and garage...
David was recently able to get ownership of his father's old 1973 BMW R75/5 "Airhead". He picked it
up in late July of 2006 and immediately started to tear it down with the intent of doing a complete
restoration of the bike to it's near, original condition, just as his father bought is new in 1975.
The progress has slowed a bit as the easy part of disassembly is nearly complete. David is by no
means a mechanic, so this will be a very long process. He hopes that Lori will be patient with the
spare motorcycle parts scattered around the garage and side-yard.
