This is the page for information on Sublime. You have obviously come here for a greater understanding of Sublime, their music, and where it's coming from. Sublime's music, a genre-bending mix of everything from thrash punk rock to "sweet reggae music" and almost everything in between originated in Long Beach, California in the mid-1980's.

Sublime has been described as the "below average garage band that every kid wanted to play at his party." How untrue this cliche came to be. By the time their short 10-year musical career had come to an end, Sublime had gone from the garages and backyards of Long Beach to selling out arenas, bookings for international tours, and triple-platinum status.

This all ended in 1996 when Sublime's lead singer/songwriter Bradley James Nowell overdosed on heroin, dying from an addiction that he had fought for 5 years. This, of course, is just the tip of the iceberg that is Sublime. Please browse the following secions of substylee to find more information.
