The Starbucks Center is a $425 million multi-purpose facility, with a retractable roof. It can be used for concerts, NBA basketball, NHL hockey such as the Seattle Freeze, and it will also be the new home to the NFL's Seattle Seahawks. It is truly a one of its kind stadium. This is the only basketball/hockey arena with a retractable roof. It has a state of the art design that can seat 85,383 for the Seattle Freeze, and is the biggest arena in the history of the NHL. It is able to seat 81,542 for the Seattle Seahawks. The reason it is able to seat so many is because the lowest section (100's) will retract underneath the middle section (200's). Causing 3,841 seats to practically disappear. Which will also give the sidelines for the Seahawks a comfortable area away from the stands.
It has 6.5" LCD screens as well as headphone plug-ins built into the back of each seat. This is to give the fans a close view to see replays and fast-paced action from above. It has a total of 45 concession stands, escalator transport, 25 men's and 25 women's restrooms, as well as 20 Starbucks coffee stations placed around the arena. These will sell 7 different selected coffees, 4 selected cappucinnos, and 5 selected iced coffees as well as bagels and donuts. The normal concession stands will server hot dogs, gourmet burgers, Pepsi Co. soft drinks, as well as candy and chips. We will have also have a concourse restaurant area with the following mini-restaurants and/or food chains: Popeye's Chicken, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Krispy Kreme Donuts, Pizza Hut, and Outback Steakhouse. To draw even mor fans to the game we will not mark up our food products. Rather than $3.75 for a plain hot dog, it will be $1.00 for a plain hot dog with the choice of two toppings, ketchup, mustard, or relish. Candy and Chips will only be $.50, this way people won't have to miss dinner for a sporting event.
