This class of soldiers was designed to
be exceptionally smart. These soldiers have incredible mental processing skills,
allowing them to parallel process and mentally multitask. Their memory capacity
allows them to perfectly remember any information they receive, including sounds,
faces, locations, and above all, instructions. Class X5 was spliced with feline DNA,
giving them the following feline characteristics and abilities:

Class X5 was originally thought to have a few anomalies when several soldiers developed seizures. It was later found that all the X5 experienced seizures and an operation to repair this genetic defect was implemented. Four of the X5 developed a form of Progeria, a rapid mutation of a genome that expressed itself in spontaneous, highly accelerated aging. An operation to repair this genetic defect was also implemented.
In the year 2009, several soldiers went into the Block 12 barracks to investigate a disturbance. "Eva" and X5-599 attacked two of the soldiers; "Eva" commandeered a gun. Class X5 made their way down the corridor where they met resistance from Colonel Lydecker. "Eva" was shot and she died. The other soldiers escaped from the building by crashing through several large windows and running into the forest. In the retrieval that followed two soldiers were killed and three were wounded. Twelve of the X5 made it over the perimeter fence.
