A Word From The Author (Els-chan) Welcome to the home of Harry Potter and the Mortal Coil. Its original (and, yes, continuing) home was solely on FF.net, mostly because I'm absurdly lazy and never took the time to code the thing properly (I'm also too lazy to come up with a new intro - some of you may have noticed that this is almost the exact same intro as the one for It's Gravitation). As you can see, that's really no longer the case, since it's now here. Anyway, a few things... #1: Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter or its characters. I do, however, own a big ol'...no, wait, no I don't. I don't seem to own much of anything anymore. #2: This story doesn't really have any spoilers for OotP so far. Why? Because I started writing before OotP came out, and I'll be damned if I'm going to go back and rewrite the whole thing just to keep it canon-ish. Besides, I'm still in denial about certain things in that book. Therefore, you can assume this story is AU, I suppose. #3: Characterization? Well, it's a little imperfect, since this was started a while ago. I personally am not overly thrilled with it, but then I'm never overly thrilled with my own work. I've been told by others, however, that the characters are relatively on target (considering that this is post-GoF and does not follow OotP canon). #4: Big ol' warning: This fic contains SLASH. Somewhat blatant SLASH. If you don't like SLASH...well, read it anyway. Just don't bitch at me about how it contains SLASH. But hey, it's your call, na no da. #5: This is a WIP, just like It's Gravitation. Unlike It's Gravitation, however, this is only the first of at least three parts (I think). In fact, this particular installment is almost complete (it's actually taking longer than I'd expected). Unfortunately, I have no set update schedule, since I usually just update whenever I find the time. I usually post at least one chapter a month, though, minimum, so you might want to check back every so often. I think that about covers it for now. I hope everyone enjoys this.
