| As an International Student here in the United States, I understand some of the problems that goesw on particularly in regards to culture shock. If you have had aversions to anything, be it food, weather, sickness or attitudes, you have been exposed to culture shock. Here are some tips to aid you. The major issues that are going to affect if you do not know by now are: Immigration. Finance. Residence. Well how do you get over these obstacles if you want to have a peaceful life in the states? The answer is not simple and incorporates a lot of time and timing and opportunity and luck. However, there are some designated methods. How do you get into the US? Several methods come to mind. Clearly if you already have a direct relative here, this is not so much more than a formality of application. The problem is more so for the individual who has no one else. The method I employed was to do apply to a school here and do well in the admission examination, namely the SAT. This is just one of the sadly few methods, however, on my Favorite links page I have some ery interesting that have a compilation of answers to many of the questions of International students. |
