Greenroyd Rules

Season to run from February 25 to November 7.
-
If the last weekend of the season is unplayable, an extra weekend will be
allowed.

Each player's best 8 placings to be used in total score.
-
2 Greenroyd players are required to make up an official event.
-
Only registered GUI courses are permitted.
-
One mulligan a round off the tee. When the player declares a mulligan he must
play that ball even if it is a worse shot than the original tee-shot.
-
All new members must be sanctioned by the committee
-
No "Gimmes" allowed when putting for par or better.
-
The commishs' rulings on any controversy during the season is final.
-
Winter rules apply up until the time that the Commish decides they no longer
apply.
-
All members must play from the same tee boxes during a round.
-
No dropping of golf balls down a members' trousers.
-
No arrogant and/or smug heads. Except where justified.

Maximum handicaps for each player:

For scores over 36 points:

.5 to be deducted for every shot over 36 points between handicap 28
and 36

.4 to be deducted for every shot over 36 points between handicap 20.5
to 28

.3 to be deducted for every shot over 36 points between handicap 12.5
to 20.4

.2 to be deducted for every shot over 36 points between handicap 5.5
to 12.4
-
.1 to be deducted for every shot over 36 points between handicap 0.0
to 5.4
For scores under 36 points:
.1 to be given back for every shot over the standard scratch to a maximum of .5
per round. Therefore:

35 points = .1 back

34 points and below = .2 back
