Notes:
Head of fish pointed with a concave dorsal profile changing to convex in front of dorsal fin. Juvenile fish usually olive brown with silver sides and belly, while the adults are green/ blue with silver sides. Juveniles also have a prominent pale line running from the snout to the top of the head. Popular fish served in restaurants. Presently extensively cultured in cages. Sold fresh. |
