Adding a Bookmark.
Note:
This is not to be confused with a Bookmark, marking sites in Netscape Navigator.
A Bookmark is a means of moving about on a web page.
The type of situation when a bookmark would be used is such as on a long page when the user wishes to return to the top of a page.
To put a bookmark on a page, highlight the text at the point where you wish the link to move to. From the top menu bar click on Edit. This will bring up the Bookmark dialog box. In the Bookmark Name box enter a name for this bookmark. Then click on OK.
In the Editor mode this will then show as a dotted line under this text.
Now go the point where you want the link to start from. Type in the relevant text (such as: Go to the top of page.)
Highlight this text. From the top menu bar click on Insert and then Hyperlink. This will open the Create Hyperlink dialog box. In the Bookmark box click on the pull down list. Select the name of the bookmark you have just created and then click OK.
This text will now turn into a link. (By convention this will now turn blue in colour and be underlined.)
By holding down the Control key this link can now be tested.
