Feature 92 is located to the north and downslope of Feature 90—removal of the rubble

overburden revealed a poorly formed firebox surrounding an area of scorched clay—all very

similar to hut features 94 and 95 in area 1.

Immediately to the south of Feature 92, Feature 90 is the final hut site excavated in the

McGowan camp. Once the accumulated topsoil and large amount of rock rubble was cleared, a

laid brick hearth and firebox were discovered. The brick hearth is located to the west of the
