SCV Wins Appeal
Tuesday, December 29, 1998 |
|
The North Carolina state Court of Appeals rules that the Sons of Confederate
Veterans is entitled to a special license plate.
The SCV had applied for a special vehicle license plate under a state law that
allows such plates for members of "nationally recognized civic organizations".
The NC Division of Motor Vehicles had earlier ruled against the application. However, a
Wake County judge today rejected the DMV's arguments. |
