2002/10/16 CSS code & PHP changes
Amended the CSS code so that the page layout is more fluid if a visitor's browser window is not full screen. I couldn't implement the amendments on the free software page as IE browsers always seem to handle HTML table width percentage measurements as though they apply to the full browser width, even when tables are inside div columns. The only exception is when a float div column is used :-( . I've also developed a PHP version of the free software page that dynamically generates the HTML tables containing software records, from a tab-delimited database file. Geocities only allows the use of PHP on it's most expensive, paid plan so I won't be able to use PHP unless I change hosts! That's a shame.

2002/05/29 Converted site images
Thought it best to convert all the GIF images on my site to PNG formatted images due to Unisys' patent of the LZW compression used in GIFs :) BTW, I used the free gif2png program.

2002/02/25 Fixed CSS code .... hopefully ;-)
Downloaded the K-Meleon GPL'd web browser (uses Mosaic's "Gecko" rendering engine) and found that my webpages didn't display correctly! Rebooted into Linux and confirmed this with Konqueror :-(
Turned out to be another CSS implementation faux pas in IE5.5!
Note to self: Always check code with two different rendering engines AND realise the limitations of W3.org's validators :)

2002/02/07 Website address change!
I read recently that free website providers are dropping like flies and it seems to have just caught up with me :-( Envy.nu seems to have dropped off the face of the planet without a word (nearly the end of free, adfree hosts, me thinks!) so I've just moved my site over to Yahoo! Geocities with their (in)famous ad square :) Seems like I may have to ante-up soon and pay for hosting.....but not quite yet :-)

2002/02/06 Email address and Public key change.
It looks like my previous email address provider may be closing down so I've changed email address and generated a new OpenPGP public key. My new email address is listed below together with my new key.
