1969 Ford Falcon
Our 1969 Ford Falcon is bracket raced, mainly at
Cedar Falls Raceway
Best times to date are 10.95 at 124 mph.  This was with STREET TIRES and through the MUFFLERS.
The car is all steel, all motor, full stock interior, fully street legal. The battery is in the stock tray.  The radiator is factory.  The suspension is factory.  Subframes have been connected and a 6-point cage installed in the interest of safety.  In front, moroso coil springs and summit 90/10 shocks have been installed.
The heads are factory cast iron.  No modifications have been done to any ports.
So, how do we do it?  A killer engine!!  Jay Roeder of Roeder Performance Machine in Waverly, IA built the engine.
Roeder Performance Machine website.
For the nitty gritty details of the engine build up click here.
Power is transferred to the ground through a C4 transmission, also built by Jay Roder.  The transmission incorporates a manual, reverse pattern valve body and a 4500 rpm S3 converter by
TCS.
Out back is a 1957 Ford 9" rear with 4.11 Richmond Gears.  Hoosier Quick Time Pro street slicks, 26x11.50x15 are controlled by the stock leaf springs and bolt on slapper bars.
Future upgrades include 30x10.5x15 drag slicks and 5.13 gears.  Larger diamter headers are also needed.
Lots of work going on this winter!!  First photos of the home made traction control device!!
Random thoughts I have on occasion.
