SCREAMERS 2 (the sequel to 2000's SCREAMERS game - played originally at Yahoo groups) is an Email Roleplaying Game based around the stalker/slasher genre (in the style of the Scream films) and is played on the free PlayByWeb mailing system. It is a game for eight players, each of whom assumes the role of an individual at the campus (see CAST). However, one of the characters has a dark agenda and, before the night is through, will have begun a vicious killing spree throughout the corridors and chambers of the college...
HOW THE GAME OPERATES
Each of the players is obliged to provide at least one turn a week in which they descibe their actions at the campus. The killer's identity will not be revealed to the remaining seven players. Turns should be submitted in the first or third person and should not describe actions for any character other than that which the player controls.
APPLYING TO TAKE PART
You should submit your application at this site (see SIGN UP). The GM will then respond, telling you whether you are accepted. If your application is successful, you should then go to PlayByWeb and add your character to the game (we're listed under the 'Adult' section due to the violent content of the game).
SECRET ACTIONS
Secret actions MUST be sent to the Games Master via PlayByWeb's note system. This is most important for the Killer who, when they are out of sight from the other characters, can change into their disguise and begin slaying the other players. Secret actions are only reported to the rest of the group by the Games Master when seen by one of the other characters.
LIFE POINTS
Each character has three Life Points. The number of Life Points remaining dictate how physically healthy the character is:
3 Points Remaining - Perfect Health
2 Points Remaining - Bleeding Lightly
1 Point Remaining - Bleeding Heavily
A successful attack (as decided by the Games Master) will reduce the number of Life Points by between one and three (depending upon the severity of the attack). Once all three Life Points are gone, the character is declared dead and removed from play. Various medical practices may increase the number of Life Points of a character but the total number may never go higher than three.
WHO IS THE KILLER?
Who indeed! The GM may himself be controlling the killer (maybe Jeremiah really has come back?) or there could possibly (Scream style) even be two killers! If the killer is indeed a player then he or she will be informed of this (and the reasons why) once they have chosen a character. Once the Killer has been slain by the other characters (or if all the other characters are murdered) then the game will then end.
I'M DEAD!
This game will almost certainly involve the death of Player Characters. If this would offend/ upset/ annoy you then please don't apply to take part.

Something to help you out....
1. Never have sex.
2. Never drink or use drugs.
3. Never say "I'll be right back". You won't.
4. Never assume the killer is dead.
5. Always account for sequels (part 3 anybody?)....
