Deep Thoughts From A Shallow Mind – January 21, 2002
It seems like I say this quite often, but since it bears so much truth, I’m gonna say it again. The only reason I’m writing this commentary is to get Big Kev off my ass. I hate when fat ugly guys with crappy offence get anywhere near my ass. How’s that concussion Rockford gave you anyways, you idiot?
I’d like to take this opportunity to THANK the ECCW office, for not informing me that the Silver City Guildford show was cancelled. Instead, I drove out to freaking Slurrey, and convince a bunch of my friends to drive out. What a freaking waste of time! I coulda been doing something productive like drinking a slurpee instead, but NOOOOOO. And I’m writing this in MS Word, and MS Word doesn’t recognize “slurpee” as an actual word. It has that stupid squiggly red line underneath it. WASSUPWITDAT? Well I’m gonna be cool and add it to MS Word’s dictionary. Oh come on, “gonna” isn’t there either, and neither is Slurrey. Screw you, Bill Gates! Hey, nice little tangent I got off on there. (huhuhuhuh I said “got off”. I rule. huhuhuh)
I sound bitter don’t I? I am bitter right now, but I’m not sure why. Maybe because it’s like 1:30 in the morning, and I’m tired and cranky. And there’s a big green squiggly line underneath the entire previous sentence. So what if it’s a sentence fragment. As Aaron Idol might say, “screw grammar.”
Who watched the Royal Rumble? I enjoyed the show myself. I thought Edge vs Regal was a bit on the slow side, but everything else was fun. I was a little surprised at Jericho retaining the title, but that’s ok. It was a good fast paced match, though a little predictable. “Nope, the match can’t end yet, Rocky hasn’t done the spinebuster yet. Wups, there it is!” The Rumble itself was fun. But where was the customary celebrity, like Pete Rose or Drew Carry? It woulda been cool to see Bob Saget come out, and then get stinkfaced. Did Maven get formally eliminated? The part with Hurricane had me in tears from laughing so hard. And I marked out like a schoolboy when Mr Perfect did his towel gimmick three times, did the gum-spitting gimmick, and then the perfect plex! Damn HHH eliminating him! My prediction was on HHH to win. Come to think of it, the winners have all been pretty predictable over the past 5 or 6 years, don’t ya think!
Speaking of HHH, I just finished watching WWF Ground Zero, from I believe September 1997. (I was bored, ok?) It’s the one with Bret vs the Patriot, and HBK vs Undertaker. During Shawn’s match, HHH did a bit of a run in. I can’t believe how much mass HHH put on in the past 4 and a half years. Un-freaking-believable. Go check out an old pic of HHH, and I’m sure you’ll agree!
I keep forgetting to mention my good friend Kaidyn (or however the hell he spells it) in my commentaries. Today is his 20th birthday. So here’s a shout out to my RBOP brother! And brother, don’t think you’re not collecting 20 birthday chops next time I see you! (Payback’s a bitch)
The feedback on my matches lately has been great. So I’d like to thank everyone I’ve worked with over the past month: Sweet Daddy, Aaron Idol, and the Fast & Furious. Actually, I only want to thank Memphis from F&F. Michael, you’re a stiff bitch, and I’m gonna get you back!
Who’s gonna win the 2nd annual ECCW Pacific Cup junior heavyweight tournament? My money is on Skag Rollins!
I have mixed feelings on this whole “WHAT” craze. I think it’s bloody hilarious when it’s done with Austin, Kurt, or Vince. But I think it’s kind of annoying when they do it over every single promo from every single wrestler. And during the national anthem? Not cool.
Well I can’t think of anything else to write. So that’ll do it until Big Kev pisses me off again. Thanks for visiting, and I’ll see ya at the shows!
