Meztitla
The name of MEZTITLA, is a word derived from the language náhuatl, whose original concept is: to "Place of moon" or to "Place near the moon", due to the cave painting presence, (between which there is one of course, it represents the moon), in one of cliffs of the hills that surround this place.
Their location privileged in the town of Tepoztlán, a place world-wide known and surrounded by impressive landscapes and mountains, turns it a unique place of characteristic singulars. Although the camping is frequented by Scouts of Mexico and the world (since it belongs to the Association of Scouts of Mexico A.C. (ASMAC), is the public in general open.
It is in Meztitla where they have occurred to great own events of the movement scout, between which they are possible to be mentioned: Encounter of Art and Expression Scout, Moot and Indaba.
The Field Meztitla School, is to the northeast of the municipality of Tepoztlán, in the state of Morelos. Tepoztlán is to only 50 minutes, towards the south of the City of Mexico. In order to go to this place, it is necessary to take the highway from Mexico-Cuernavaca quota and to turn aside course to Cuautla and Oaxtepec after passing the well-known curve like "La Pera", route that is recommended for those who arrive by earth from the north of the country. For those who come from the south, it is necessary to go towards Cuernavaca, the State Capital of Morelos and to follow the federal highway towards Tepoztlán. And for those who arrive from the Mexican Southeastern, he is preferable to arrive first a the city of Cuautla Morelos, to cross the quota highway towards the City of Mexico (by the Pear).
