Alternity Campaigns

EarthOne of the greatest assets of Alternity is that it is flexible enough to use in virtually any setting.  This allows the GM to develop a role-playing environment specifically based on his players' interests.  Additionally, if you do not wish to spend the time and effort to create an entire universe of your own, TSR has developed two highly detailed settings in which to run your campaigns.  STAR*DRIVE is a traditional space opera based on future human exploration of the stars set in the 26th century.  DARK*MATTER, on the other hand, is very much like The X-Files; set in the early 21st century, it focuses on paranormal events and vast conspiracies.

Included in the links below are rules for playing Star Wars and Star Trek campaigns using Alternity.  Also included is LEGACY, a totally original campaign setting that takes place in a different galaxy with five new alien species.  Next is  TASK FORCE SABER, an original near-future Alternity campaign setting influenced by the best contemporary sci-fi anime like Evangelion Neon Genesis, Bubblegum Crisis 2040, and Ghost in the Shell.  On a similar theme, there are also rules for playing Dragon Ball Z using Alternity (the supplemental book Beyond Science is required).  VAMPIRES: DARK HORIZONS brings Gothic horror to the Alternity play system.  Finally, rules for playing Alternity in J.R.R. TOLKIEN'S MIDDLE EARTH are featured, demonstrating that Alternity can be used for fantasy role-playing as well as sci-fi..
