WORKSHOP
2 CONTENT: This
experiential workshop builds on concepts from applied linguistics,
curriculum theory, business and industry, and developing nations studies
to help participants understand the key factors that promote or suppress
innovations. Connections to
teacher development, language assessment, teaching methodology and
language curricula will be addressed. Participants will gain concepts for
promoting innovations in their own context, regardless of the language(s)
they teach. A bibliography of
selected references will be provided. TARGET
AUDIENCE: Teachers, graduate students in Applied
Linguistics/Education/Foreign Language Education, and anyone interested in
teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language.
This workshop is open to participants without previous teaching
experience. Date: August 13, 2002 Time: 9 a.m. – 12 noon & 1 – 4 p.m. Venue: SALISES, UWI St. Augustine.
