We, the McKinley High School Class of 1955, do hereby officially tender our resignation as Adults.
We want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make a sidewalk with rocks.
We have decided we would like to accept the responsibilities of an 8 year-old again. We want to go to Burger King and think it is a four star restaurant.
We want to think M&Ms are better than money because we can eat them.
We want to lie under a big oak tree, watch the cloud pictures with Tigger and the gang, 
lay in the grass watching an ant hill, and run a lemonade stand on a hot summer's day.
We want to return to a time when life was simple....when all we knew were colors, multiplication tables and nursery rhymes....
but that did not bother us, because we did not know what we did not know and we did not care. All we knew was to be happy 
because we were blissfully unaware of all the things that should make us worried or upset.
We want to be oblivious to the complexities of life and be overly excited by the little things again. We want to live simple again. We do not want our days to consist of computer crashes, mountains of paper work,depressing news, how to survive more days in the month than there is money in the bank, doctor bills, gossip, illness and loss of loved ones.
We want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs, a kind word, truth, justice, peace, dreams, the imagination, mankind, and making angels in the snow.
So......If you want to discuss this further, you will have to catch us first, cause......
