Witches DO NOT do evil. To do evil or harm to anything is against basic Wiccan ethics. Witches also believe that energy (bad and good) is returned to the sender. (Threefold Law/Karmic Retribution)
Witches DO NOT worship, make pacts with, or believe in Satan. There is no Devil/Satan in our belief structure. Wiccans believe that a balance of all good and evil reside within each living thing.
Witches DO use spells. A spell is a meditation or projection. Similar to prayers, spells (if believed and spoken honestly) may bring about changes.
Witches harmonize themselves with the environment. Witches believe that all living things are interwoven and we are responsible for our surroundings.
Witches view the pentacle (or five-pointed star) as a symbol of protection. The five points represent Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and the uppermost point represents the Divine Spirit that is in all lifeforms. |
