Chapter 1
Sydney had been through a lot of stress from the last time we had met her. She's had to deal with her parents, Claire's parents, and all their friends. She had to lie to everyone about what happened and, worst of all, what happened to Claire. She had to lie and say that Claire had died; however, Sydney always added the "but I'm not sure" just in case. She had been given all of Claire's Beatle memoriblia ,and she and Jessica often got together and talked about the "past."
Sydney was seated on her bed listening to the radio. She was furiously writing a report that was due the next day. She then heard the distinctive note played at the beginning of "Hard Day's Night." She dropped her pen and a tear ran down her cheek.
"It's been so long. A whole year! I really miss 'em! Even Claire" Sydney thought.
She almost changed her clothes, but decided to just wear what she had been wearing, her jeans and red tank top. She scribbled a quick note to her parents and went and stood in the middle of her room.
"I wish I was back with Claire and the Beatles" she whispered.
She saw swirling colors, the lads, and then heard the gunshots that took John's life before she landed somewhere. She was seated in the lobby of a swanky hotel. She turned and saw a strange looking man walk by. She did a double take and ran over to him. It was John in disguise. She tapped him on the sholder and he jumped. He turned and squinted at her.
"Sydney!!" he exclaimed.
"The one and only! How ya doin?" she asked giving him a hug.
"What are you doing back? It's been so long!" he said kissing her on the cheek.
"Yeah a whole year! But believe me, I'm sure I know what went on while I was gone. So, what are you guys working on now, so I can orienate myself?" she asked.
"We're shooting our new movie 'Beatle Movie Number One'" he said.
She grinned.
"You guys need a new title!" she said trying not to laugh.
"What do you suggest?" he asked.
"Well I can't say, because I know what you will end up calling it! So how are Cyn and Julian?" she said.
"Both great! Hey how did you know... Oh yeah..." he said.
"Julian is very cute; I'll have to meet him and see Cyn again" she said.
"Hey, let's play a trick on the guys and Claire" he said.
"OK..what?" she asked.
"We'll get in the elevator, you can put on my overcoat, and we can mess with their heads when we get into the room" he said excitely.
"Gear!" she said.
"Gear? I suppose you got that from us" he said laughing, as they walked towards the elevator.
"So,why were you out of the room?" she asked as he pushed the button.
"Needed to get out! I was going crazy!" he said as they both stepped into the empty elevator.
He pushed the button to the correct floor and then took off his coat. Sydney quickly put it on. He placed the hat on her head.
"Can you tell it's me?" she asked as she pushed her hair under the hat.
"Only if they look directly into your eyes... or directly at your face for that matter. Pull the collar up" he said.
The elevator came to a stop. They both got up. Sydney fixed the collar, and John knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" Brian called.
"Doctoe Winston O' Boogie " John called out in a funny voice.
"Brian or Eppy as you call him?" Sydney asked John.
"Yeah that was Eppy" John said.
Brian ran over,opened the door,and let John and the "stranger" into the room. Claire and Paul were seated on the couch both reading different magazines. George was sitting in a chair reading a newspaper, and Ringo was sitting in another chair watching the TV.
"So what was out there, Johnny?" Paul asked without looking up.
"Met somebody new" John said.
John slammed the door. Everyone jumped and then looked over.
"Who is that?" Claire asked.
"Someone..." John said drifting off.
Now everyone was looking even Brian and Mal.
"Come on, John, tell us" Ringo said
"Well okay, it's obviously a woman, if you know what I mean" George said.
Everyone laughed. Sydney blushed and looked down trying not to laugh. When she got calm again she looked at John.
"Whenever you're ready" he said to her "No wait! Everybody close their eyes."
Everyone got a strange look on their face, but did as they were told. John went around and made sure no one was peeking. He even turned the lights off just in case. Sydney took the coat and hat off. She smoothed her hair down and then waved at John. He flipped the lights back on and everyone looked up quickly.
"HI!" Sydney said laughing.
Everyone gasped except for John, Mal, and Brian. Brian and Mal had no clue who she was, they had heard about her but had never met her.
"Sydney!" Claire said jumping up.
Sydney and Claire ran over and hugged each other.
"He hasn't met Patti yet" Claire whispered in Sydney's ear.
"Thank the lord!" Sydney said giggling.
Paul got up and gave Sydney a big hug as well. Ringo also gave her a hug. As Ringo let her go, she saw George standing there.
