AIT Day 28

What a good start today had. We took our phase PT test. I improved my push-ups by 16. I did the same amount of sit-ups, but I know I can do more. I worked on my abs too hard and too soon before the test. They were still tight. My run just sucked. My overall score improved to exceed my goal of 250 though.
The other good thing that happened this morning is that the police may have caught the sniper that killed 10 people in my area. It's about time. If he hurt anyone I know, I was going to break out of here, sit atop a tree, and snipe his ass with an M-16.
I still have no news related to my punishment. Nothing related to it happened yesterday. I can't worry about it now though. We have our phase inspection tomorrow at 0830. My two roommates and I have our room and lockers pretty straight. We'll stay up all night and do whatever it takes to be ready for the First Sergeant's inspection tomorrow. We'll put a blanket over the window curtains at night so the DS thinks we're sleeping like we're supposed to. I made the BCT inspections sound anal? Multiply that a few times and you have an AIT inspection. Even the bottom of the shoes have to be clean. And there can't be any dust in the room. If the First Sergeant runs her finger over something and dust collects on it, she may not phase us. As we clean tonight, we'll test each other on things we have to know for the written portion of the phase test. Anything we learned in basic may show up in the ten-question test. We also have to know the ordnance soldier's creed so we can recite it in front of the class. We also need to know the chain of command, which is 21 names. The ordnance soldier's creed is nine sentences long. I already have the PT test out of the way, my school average test score is 97%, and I have the knowledge part of the test stamped in my brain. All that's left to phase is not get a brain fart when it comes time to execute and pass the room/latrine/wall locker inspection. I might as well enjoy my CD player until my article 15 becomes official and it gets taken away. Who knows? It might be today. Even if it isn't, they might not let me phase because I have a pending article 15.
