AIT Day 30

Damn, extra duty fucking sucks. I've been cleaning floors for 11 hours. They took my entire Saturday.
Yep, that's right. The captain listened to my argument, but he had no mercy. I have 14 days of extra duty.
This is my third day and it fucking sucks. If I'm not training, I'm in here cleaning. All I can do is look forward to Veteran's day weekend. It's a four-day and I will be off extra duty. I must stay out of trouble.
I almost got another article 15 two nights ago. Unbelievable. It was for staying up five minutes after bed check. The DS for that night promised the 18 of us that stayed up an article 15. Our DS decided to just give us corrective training. We had to stand at parade rest after bed check for an hour and a half. I was freaking out that night. I thought I was going to get 14 additional days of extra duty.
Despite having no personal time, being worked like a dog, and having to wait two more weeks to see my girl, I do have some good news. I was one of eight people in my class of 37 that phased. I got my CD player back. Next week I get my clothes. Not that it matters, since extra duty doesn't give me much time for that. But I don't have to prepare my room for another phase inspection next week like the people that failed.
