Dave Watson's Seine River Greenway Site Save our Seine River Environment Inc. (S.O.S.) is a non-profit group of concerned citizens that, since 1990, has worked to preserve, protect and enhance Canada's Seine River. The Seine, a once forgotten river, gently meanders through the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba towards the Red River of the North. One of the fundamental objectives of S.O.S. is to promote the development of an ethic of environmental stewardship with local citizens through leadership, public education and participatory activities. This goal is best achieved through innovative demonstration projects that illustrate the principles of environmentally sustainable development. To this end, Save Our Seine holds at least two public participation events every year; the Annual Greening and the Annual Cleanup.
