The Island of Cozumel, situated in the Mexican Caribbean has the second barrier reef in the Planet.
This ecosystem is  home for hundreds of species, some of them unique in the World, and a group of people  pursuing only commercial benefits are determined to destroy a great part of this ecosystem that has some species in danger of extinction.
A Turistic development is beneficial to a place only when this is done  in a controlled manner, with regulations tending to take advantage of the natural resources preserving them since they are the main reason for this growth.

Cozumel already counts with a Dolphinarium, sad but true, and now responding to the ambition of some powerful people,
they are starting  two new projects that will also destroy a whole reef for that purpose.

Those who had the chance to admire a dolphin in the wild, know that they are so special and free. Having the opportunity to observe them in Cozumel swimming  by ones  boat and playing, it is very sad to see that just a few feet away from them there are other ones prisoners behind a net that will never allow them to be back with their mates in freedom again.

They will have to perform silly skills just to earn some dead fish for their entire life.

This project is two times disgusting  because  it not only attempts against the freedom of  wild animals, but also the destruction of an entire coral reef. Home of a huge variety  of marine life that interact in harmony among each other making Cozumel such a wonderful place. This development will devastate in few days what took years for nature to create .

Without them we are nothing.

Because everybody has the right for freedom and the preservation of its home,
we ask  your active participation, just with your signature you can contribute to the protection of Cozumels environment.
Animals can not protect themselves from human beings, we must do it.
